Bonfiglioli Transmissions Ltd is a leading technology-driven company in India providing mechanical and electro-mechanical power transmission and industrial drive solutions, designing and manufacturing high-precision, mission-critical gearboxes and drive systems for diverse industries; its product portfolio includes low, medium, and heavy-duty gear motors and gearboxes with torque capacities from 13 Nm to 1,400 kNm, Helical, bevel, planetary, and worm gearboxes, electric motors, variable frequency drives, servo motors, and precision drives for robotics and automation. The company serves three main segments—Industry and Automation Solutions, Off-Highway Mobility, and Wind Industry—and is among the largest gearbox and drive manufacturers in India for OEMs and end-users. It operates three manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu (Thirumudivakkam and Mannur) and Maharashtra (Talegaon), producing over 330,000 gear motors and gearboxes in FY24, and provides after-sales support through in-house service engineers across 13 sales offices, including the three manufacturing sites. In the nine months ended September 30, 2025, the company served more than 1,000 customers, including top OEMs such as ElectroMech Material Handling Systems, GMM Pfaudler, Milltec Machinery, Terex India, and Ammann India

It provides technology-driven power transmission systems and customised industrial drive solutions.
- Wide & Diversified Product Portfolio: Manufactures a broad range of precision-engineered gear motors, gearboxes and drive systems. As of December 31, 2025, the Company had supplied more than 11,800 SKUs across various industries and business segments.
- Strong Parentage & R&D Capabilities: Backed by Bonfiglioli S.p.A., a globally recognised company that reported consolidated revenue of €1,172.94 million for the year ended December 31, 2025. The Company benefits from global and local research and development capabilities, including the Bonfiglioli Group’s India R&D Centre in Chennai.
- Dependence on Limited Suppliers: The Company relies on a limited number of suppliers for raw materials and components. Its largest supplier, a related party, accounted for 15.53% to 19.98% of total purchases across recent periods. The absence of definitive supply agreements increases the risk of supply disruptions.
- Raw Material Price & Import Duty Risk: Rising raw material and component costs, along with potential import duties on materials sourced from Vietnam, Japan, China and Italy, could increase expenses and negatively affect the Company’s business, profitability, financial condition and cash flows.
- Manufacturing Facility Disruption: Unexpected or prolonged disruptions at the Company’s manufacturing facilities in Thirumudivakkam, Mannur and Talegaon due to equipment breakdowns, labour disputes or utility interruptions could delay production, affect delivery schedules and adversely impact financial performance.
