Bharat Nidhi Limited, established in 1942 and based in New Delhi, is engaged in two core businesses in India: the distribution of newspapers and magazines, and investment and financing activities. The company has a notable agreement with Bennett Coleman and Company Limited, popularly known as The Times Group, for the distribution of their publications. Under this agreement, BCCL supplies newspapers and periodicals to Bharat Nidhi as per the company’s indents and at locations specified by it. The cost of delivery is borne by BCCL. Payments for daily publications are made on the same day of publication, or the next working day if it falls on a holiday. Payments for weeklies and fortnightlies are made within three days of delivery, and for monthly and other publications, within seven days of delivery.
