Jay Ambe IPO About Company

Jay Ambe Supermarkets Limited, headquartered in Gujarat, India, is a fast-growing retail chain operator founded in 2020. Within a short span, the company has emerged as a strong player in the regional retail market by offering a wide range of products under one roof. Its growth is primarily driven by a franchise-based model that enables rapid expansion while maintaining brand consistency. The company’s flagship division, City Square Mart, which has been operational since 2018, forms the backbone of its retail presence with a well-established network of stores across Gujarat. Operating on a franchise model, the company grants franchisees the right to use its brand name and business systems, while generating revenue through a one-time entry fee and recurring annual licensing fees. This asset-light approach reduces capital expenditure for expansion and ensures a uniform shopping experience across outlets. The product portfolio of Jay Ambe Supermarkets spans multiple categories, including fast-moving consumer goods, groceries in both packed and loose varieties, household merchandise, consumer durables, luggage, home textiles, décor, fashion and apparel for all age groups, footwear, as well as lifestyle and gifting items such as toys, stationery, and imitation jewelry. From a single store in 2018, the company has grown to 17 stores across Gujarat in six years, supported by a workforce of 132 employees as of March 31, 2025, of which 115 are permanent and 17 are outsourced, primarily for security services. The upcoming IPO of Jay Ambe Supermarkets Limited aims to raise funds for specific objectives. These include the purchase of an existing company-owned store at Nana Chiloda, Ahmedabad for ₹4.25 crores, acquisition of fit-outs for three new stores amounting to ₹4.63 crores, allocation of ₹4.50 crores towards working capital requirements, and a portion set aside for general corporate purposes to provide flexibility for future needs.
