Incorporated in 2009, Aptus Value Housing is a retail-focused housing finance company that mainly serves self-employed customers from low and middle-income groups in rural and semi-urban areas of India, especially in South India. The company offers home loans for buying or constructing houses, home improvement and extension, loans against property, and small business loans, and handles the complete lending process from sourcing and credit assessment to collateral evaluation and collections. As of December 31, 2020, home loans formed the majority of its portfolio, and almost all of its assets came from customers earning less than ₹50,000 per month, making it one of the largest housing finance companies in South India by assets under management.
